Membership is mandatory for all insurance companies licensed to write property insurance in the State of Oregon. Annual participation factors are calculated each year based on the 2nd preceding year’s written premium data as reported to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.

In other words, the Participation factors for the year 2007 are based on the year 2005 data. Participation Factors for the year 2006 are based on 2004 Written Premium data & so forth.
